You are warmly welcome on the sites of the County of Środa Śląska. I am very happy with the possibility of presenting the Land of Środa Śląska as I see it. As a place with unique character, excellent views, with talented and ambitious inhabitants. I was born and brought up here, in Środa Śląska, and I have had an honour of carrying out the role of the Foreman of the Środa Śląska County since November, 2006.

The main values of our county are: rich tradition and history starting at the beginning of XIIth century and large economical possibilities. Here came into existence well-prospering works with international reputability: Roben – Constructional Ceramics, Armacell, Clinico Medical (the biggest employer in the county), Tektura (cardboard) of Wrocław, Vibracoustic in cooperation with Gotec and Elmsteel.

The county will charm you with the kindness of its inhabitants and great architectonic monuments. In many places in the county you may come across the courts, palaces and parks – almost each one of them has its separate and interesting history. Both, Środa Śląska – the only town in the county, and The Treasure of Środa Śląska which is displayed in local museum, deserve special attention. I advise admirers of adorable places to visit Zabór – sanctuary of nature, which are consisted of unique sorts of flora and fauna, e.g.: white eagle, beaver and dalmatian frog.
